June 2013: Ipsy Bag and (vs.) Birchbox

Ipsy Bag (Wild Side)
June 12: Ipsy Glam Bag arrived (Tracking email sent on 10th)
June 13: Birchbox arrived (Tracking email sent on 9th)
Birchbox Wanderlust
The J.cat sparking cream palette makes this bag worth it!  Ipsy has upped its game!  Now the bags are tailored to your answers to the ipsyMatch.  This month, it was not at all difficult to name Ipsy Glam Bag as the winner of giving me my money's worth!

The bag and box included the following...

Ipsy Glam Bag
Starlooks Lip Pencil (Bare): I totally needed this because I actually have no lip pencil that's nude/bare.  I do not know if it is suppose to have this darker undertone.  We will see how I feel tomorrow (Update to come)
NYX Blush (Pecan): I like it but not my skin tone.  I like my blush to add a little pink/red.  Not to give me a tan.
J. Cat Sparkling Cream Palette (Volta): LOVE IT!  It's so sparkly!  Not appropriate for work but so sparkly!
Chella Highlighter Pencil (Ivory Lace): Just what I need.  After all those videos from Michelle Phan and Bubz talking about using a highlighter I was planning to buy it but now I have one!  The color is great and the texture is so soft.
J. Cat Eyelashes & Glue (EL20): Still have great difficulties in putting these on.

Birchbox
Birchbox + Color Club Nail Laquer (London Calling): The color is actually quite strange.  I am unsure whether it is a shade of blue or yellow, but it is pretty.  The polish is not too thick but not watery either.  It dried relatively quickly for its texture.  One major "con" is how strongly it smells of polish, which I have not smelled in awhile.
LAQA & Co Lil' Lip Duo: The packaging does not say what color it is, but it is a beautiful dark pink.  I like how it feels and looks against my skin color.  However, the design of the contaner is not conducive to looking clean.  My clear cover has small red/pink marks on it already!
ORIGINS Clear Improvement Active charcoal mask: Excited to try this, especially with my impending wedding.  To see how to improve my skin so there is less "work" on the day of.  I have plenty of time still left to find the right product.
Oscar de la Renta Perfume (Something Blue): I have been seeing ads for this everywhere since being engaged.  So I am excited about trying it.  It is very light scent, which is important when wearing to work.  Though I do not know if I recognize all the scents that the pamphlet says the product contains.
ORIGINS GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer: sample size in every sense.  It has SPF15, which I am always happy to see.  However the chance to use just one time because of the size of the sample is disappointing.  This is something I feel every time I open the Birchbox.

Postcards were included in the Birchbox which was cute but I hope it was not counted as one of our "items" because I am not sure I will get to use these.
